the Club
Newcomers to the R/C Heli
Scene
On joining the club we can offer all the help, advice
and tuition you need, including useful advice on
suitable equipment for beginners to the hobby. We have
BMFA registered club instructors who will be happy to
check your model over during and after construction, and
will take you through the setting up procedures and
pre-flight checks.
When you're ready for your first flight our
instructors can give you coaching if necessary and will
help you to safely achieve your first solo hover!
Several of our members regularly fly aerobatic
manoeuvres and can give advice to those wishing to take
their flying on to more advanced levels.
Club Membership
Club membership is £35 annually, renewable June 1st.
There is a discount for any members joining part way
through the year.

Insurance
We require all members and guests to have
BMFA insurance cover in order to fly. Insurance is
provided to all BMFA members and you can join with
instant cover at any time by paying the membership fee
to one of our club officials. BMFA membership costs £28
annually for adults and £15 for under-18s, renewable
January 1st each year. Discounts run for new members
from July each year. If you already have BMFA insurance
just show us your membership card on joining the club.
